About the content

The guides and tools on this website explain the repairability information required by EU consumer law, based on primary sources. They are not legal advice and do not assess your individual case. How we read sources and correct mistakes is described on About repairinfo.app.

repairinfo.app is not an offer of the European Commission, the French administration or any other public authority. The free tools are governed by the terms of use; data handling is described in the privacy policy.

Data sources

EPREL (European Commission)

The EPREL lookup queries the European Commission's European Product Registry for Energy Labelling (EPREL) live with every search, eprel.ec.europa.eu. We keep responses in a cache for one day at most. EPREL entries are made by the suppliers of the products: manufacturers, importers or authorised representatives.

Source: EPREL, European Commission. The Commission has not reviewed this website. Showing data from EPREL does not mean that the Commission endorses it.

French repairability index (data.gouv.fr)

The barcode check uses the dataset “Fichiers consolidés des données respectant le schéma indice de réparabilité” on data.gouv.fr, the French administration's open data platform. Licence: Licence Ouverte / Open Licence 2.0. Retrieved on 19 October 2026. We keep only entries with a barcode and only the fields the tool shows, split by barcode into 100 files.

The French administration has not reviewed or endorsed this website. The index is a score under French law and not a repairability score under EU law (more on the index).

Consumer dispute resolution

We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.

The EU's former online dispute resolution platform was shut down on 20 July 2025 (Regulation (EU) 2024/3228). That is why there is no link to it here.
