For smartphones and tablets the app loads class and index from EPREL and refreshes them weekly; for other goods it suggests spare parts information via barcode and a manufacturer directory. Essential costs $6.99, Pro $14.99 a month, with a 14-day trial.

What the app does

EPREL lookup Essential

Enter the registration number: class, index and manufacturer links are applied and refreshed against EPREL every week, so corrections in EPREL reach your store by themselves.

Barcode matching Essential

A product’s barcode is matched against the French dataset: spare parts years and manual as a suggestion for you to check.

24 languages Essential

The block appears in the language the customer chose in your store, in every official EU language, with no translating.

Three display modes Essential

Open below the buy button, as a badge with a click, or as a text link. Placed automatically or as an app block in the theme editor.

Catalogue scan Pro

All products in one pass against barcode data, brand and product type. You see where information is missing and where it can come from.

One letter per brand covering every required point. After 14 days the app marks the request as due.

What the app does not do

What data the app reads

The app reads and writes products (for the metafields) and reads themes and languages. It does not request customer or order data. App privacy policy: repairinfo.app/datenschutz.

Frequently asked questions

Which stores is the app worth it for?

Shopify stores with an online store that sell to consumers in the EU. It saves the most work for smartphones, tablets and household appliances, where EPREL and barcode data exist. For other goods, the directory and requests help.

Do I need to edit theme code?

No. The block comes via a theme app extension: automatically below the buy button, or as an app block wherever you place it in the theme editor.

May the block be collapsed?

Whether information behind a click is enough is not settled; the law only requires it to be clear and comprehensible before the order. In the settings you choose open, badge or link.

What does the app show if the manufacturer provides nothing?

Nothing in the store. The record (Pro) shows when you asked and that nothing came. Whether this also applies when you are the manufacturer, own brand or importer is not settled.
